How do you clean a rifled firearm?
Disassembling....

First we use Cuprum Remover FOAM. We plug the barrel with a patch on one side, and on the other side we insert the tube from the foam bottle to the middle of the barrel and fill the barrel with neat short presses.
We leave it for about 20 minutes. Foam softens fouling, lead and fights with copper plating.

It is recommended to clean the gas tube, where a lot of fouling accumulates, with CarbonRemover. The product should be shaken and “sprayed” into the places where fouling accumulates. Then let the product absorb for a couple of minutes and clean the soot with patches until dry. Then, in order to make the fouling stick less to the tube walls in the future, treat it with dry grease.

Clean the gas piston, spring and bolt with high penetrating oil. If necessary, soak for a few minutes and then wipe with patches.

Move on to the barrel. Foam is removed with a clean patch. If there are blue traces on the patch, it means that there are copper deposits. Copper plating is removed with Cuprum Remover or Cuprum Remover NEW. The first is stronger, but has a specific smell of ammonia. The second - Cuprum Remover NEW does not contain ammonia and can be left in the barrel for up to 2 hours. To clean the copper plating, wet the patch abundantly with the remover and pass it along the barrel channel. Leave for 10-15 minutes for Cuprum Remover or 15-30 minutes for Cuprum Remover NEW. Remove any residue with a dry patch.

If there is no copper plating, go straight to the next step: “spray” a little High Penetration Oil into the barrel, make several passes with a brass brush and remove the raised dirt with a patch. Repeat cleaning with High Penetrating Oil until the patch comes out clean. At the end we wet the patch with neutral oil, go through the barrel channel, then remove excess oil with a clean patch.

Places where old fouling accumulates (gas chamber, muzzle, etc.) should be treated with Carbon Remover, left to soak for a few minutes and wiped with patches.

USM should be cleaned with High Penetrating Oil.

After cleaning the trigger guard and all moving parts should be treated with dry grease, this will give antifriction properties to the surfaces and will reduce fouling.

If it is necessary to put the weapon in long-term storage or if it is supposed to be used in conditions of high humidity, fog, salty air, it is better to use Protectiveoil instead of neutral oil. It will reliably protect the metal from corrosion in the most extreme conditions.
